I have been admitted as an Expert Witness in family, criminal, and civil courts, where I provide calm, informed, and accessible education to judges and juries on trauma and its many dimensions—including childhood trauma, sexual abuse, trafficking, intimate partner and family violence, and perpetration-induced traumatic stress. Skilled in dispelling myths about therapy, memory, and interference in memories, I remain composed and focused on the facts during cross-examination. I understand and uphold my duties to the court, and maintain a caseload that includes both victims and accused/convicted in order to avoid bias. I also specialize in intergenerational trauma and Indigenous mental health. I am qualified to write Gladue reports and to participate in sentencing circles and other Indigenous-focused justice processes for both victims and offenders.
